Funding Your Wallet

Getting ETH for Gas

You’ll need a small amount of ETH on Base for transaction fees:
  1. Bridge from Ethereum: Use the official Base Bridge
  2. Buy on CEX: Purchase ETH on Coinbase and withdraw to Base
  3. Cross-chain bridge: Use bridges like Stargate or Hop
Gas fees on Base are very low (typically 0.010.10pertransaction),so0.01-0.10 per transaction), so 5-10 of ETH is usually sufficient for many trades.

Getting USDC for Trading

USDC is the primary collateral token on Limora:
  1. Bridge from Ethereum: Bridge USDC using the Base Bridge or Stargate
  2. Buy on CEX: Purchase USDC on Coinbase and withdraw to Base
  3. Swap on DEX: Use Uniswap or another Base DEX to swap ETH for USDC
USDC on Base: 0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913

Security Best Practices

  • Never store your seed phrase digitally (no photos, no cloud storage) - Write it down on paper and store in a secure location - Consider using a metal backup for fire/water resistance - Never share your seed phrase with anyone
For significant funds, use a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor. This keeps your private keys offline and secure.
Always review transaction details before signing: - Check the recipient address - Verify the amount and token - Confirm you’re on the correct network
  • Bookmark the official Limora URL - Never click wallet connection links from DMs or emails - Limora will never ask for your seed phrase - Verify the URL in your browser before connecting
Periodically review and revoke token approvals you no longer need using Revoke.cash.

Troubleshooting

  • Refresh the page and try again - Clear browser cache and cookies - Disable conflicting browser extensions - Try a different browser - Ensure you’re on Base network
  • Open MetaMask and switch to Base network - If Base isn’t available, add it manually using the steps above
  • Check Base network status at basescan.org - Try speeding up the transaction in MetaMask - If stuck, you may need to cancel and retry
  • Refresh the page - Check that you’re connected to the correct network - Import the token contract address manually in MetaMask
