Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

You need an EVM-compatible wallet like MetaMask, WalletConnect, or Coinbase Wallet. The wallet must support the Base network.
Currently, USDC is the primary collateral token on Limora. You’ll need USDC on the Base network to open trades.
You can: 1. Bridge USDC from Ethereum using the Base Bridge 2. Buy USDC on Coinbase and withdraw to Base 3. Swap ETH for USDC on a Base DEX like Uniswap
Gas fees on Base are very low. $1-2 of ETH is typically sufficient for many transactions.
Limora is not available in Disqualified Jurisdictions, including the United States and Canada. Please review our legal disclaimer before using the platform.

Trading

Maximum leverage varies by trading pair, up to 100x for major pairs like BTC and ETH. Check the platform for specific limits.
Limora uses oracle price feeds aggregated from multiple sources. This ensures fair pricing without order book manipulation.
If your position margin falls below the maintenance level, your position will be automatically closed. You’ll lose most or all of your collateral. Use stop-losses to prevent liquidation.
Trades wait in a queue until a matcher provides liquidity. Larger positions may take longer to match. You can cancel a pending trade if it hasn’t been matched yet.
Currently, you need to open a new position to increase exposure. Partial add-to-position is not supported.

Matching (Lending)

Deposit funds to your matching balance and match pending trades. You earn interest from traders while their positions are open.
APRs typically range from 10-30% depending on market conditions and utilization. Remember that APR is interest only—your actual returns depend on P&L from matched positions.
Yes. While you earn interest, you also have exposure opposite to the trader’s position. If a trader profits, you lose on P&L (partially offset by interest earned).
Funds that are actively matched cannot be withdrawn until the trade closes. Only your “available” balance can be withdrawn.

Account & Security

Your Limora account is your wallet. As long as you have access to your wallet (via seed phrase), you have access to your Limora account and funds.
No. Limora is non-custodial. Your funds are held in smart contracts, not by the Limora team. You can withdraw available funds at any time.
  • Only use official Limora URLs (see Community) - Never share your seed phrase - Limora team will never DM you first - Be cautious of “support” messages in DMs

Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

  1. Ensure you have MetaMask or another supported wallet installed 2. Refresh the page 3. Make sure you’re on the Base network 4. Try disconnecting and reconnecting 5. Clear browser cache and try again 6. Try a different browser
  1. Open your wallet 2. Switch to the Base network 3. If Base isn’t available, add it: - Network: Base - RPC: https://mainnet.base.org - Chain ID: 8453 - Symbol: ETH - Explorer: https://basescan.org
  1. Check your internet connection 2. Try refreshing the page 3. Clear browser cache 4. Disable browser extensions that might interfere 5. Try a different browser 6. Check status page for outages

Transaction Issues

  1. Check transaction status on Basescan 2. If pending for long, try speeding up in your wallet 3. If stuck, you may need to cancel and retry 4. Ensure you have enough ETH for gas
  1. Check the error message in your wallet 2. Common causes: - Insufficient ETH for gas - Insufficient balance - Slippage/price movement 3. Try again with more gas
  1. Wait for transaction to confirm (~2 seconds on Base) 2. Refresh the page
  2. Check transaction on Basescan 4. If confirmed but not showing, wait a minute and refresh

Trading Issues

  1. Ensure you have sufficient trading balance 2. Check that you have ETH for gas 3. Verify the pair is available 4. Ensure position size meets minimum requirements
  1. Check you have ETH for gas 2. Position might be processing 3. Try refreshing and closing again 4. If liquidation is in progress, you may not be able to close manually
  1. P&L is based on oracle prices (may differ from exchange prices) 2. Remember to account for: - Opening and closing fees - Interest paid 3. Check entry price recorded vs. expected
