Understanding the Numbers
Win Rate Reality
Example:- Win Rate: 80%
- Average Win: $10
- Average Loss: $50
- Expectancy: (0.8 × 50) = -$2 per trade
Survivorship Bias
Analytics only show closed trades. Be aware that:- Open positions with large losses may skew perception
- Liquidated positions are included in statistics
- Past performance doesn’t guarantee future results
